[OOC] Medic Organization
Since October plot is approaching fast, Yukio's going around and getting a list of people interested in helping out on the medical side of things. But I can't possibly catch everyone with the IC post, so this entry is for outlining how organization is going to work and give everyone interested in participating a shot at doing so.
IC Organization
+ Yukio is going around to all the cabins with pamphlets and asking for medical volunteers! For October he's specifically looking for people already skilled in first aid/healing/doctoring, but once he and Mithos run the first aid class, he'll also add those interested parties to the list as well.
+ He'll also be asking people to sign up for specific shifts, generally night/dawn/day/dusk. If there are any lighter/smaller medics in Aather, he'll ask if they mind dragon duty.
+ If you need to handwave Yukio finding your character and talking to them, feel free. Similarly, if you'd rather Yukio have not talked to them ICly but still want to do medic-y things, that's fine too.
+ The clinic will be up and running sometime during 92 evening orrr 93 morning. After that, there will be an IC sign-up sheet posted there as well.
OOC Organization
+ If your character is joining the healer/medical team and you are OOCly interested in doing medical things, put medping on ping in IRC. That way people can easily call for a healer/doctor (or NOT call for one!) if they're interested in getting the attention of one. Also, it allows you to sign up OOCly but not get poked OOCly if you'd prefer not to be.
+ And if you want to call for a medic, use medping in chan and you'll probably get one.
+ If you're online, get pinged, and decide that you want to send your medic out to help, you can handwave that they happened to be on call at the time. Or they were out walking on their own. Or whatever really. You don't have to be affiliated with the clinic in order to participate.
+ Similarly, if medics AREN'T pinged in chan due to not OOCly wanting medical intervention, we can easily handwave that there was a gap in the shifts/nobody happened to come in time/whatever IC reasoning works best.
I thiiink that should cover things neatly! If anyone has any suggestions or questions, let me know! Also, the first comment in this post is for IC sign-ups, so I (and anyone else working the clinic) can know approximately who else is involved, etc. I'll also re-link this after October, since this is the system I'm planning on using for the clinic workers as well.
Also, to reiterate, since most of this info is behind a cut: put medping on ping if you want to be pinged in chan for healing antics and use medping if you want to get the attention of someone for a healing/doctoring thread.
