OKAY WELL I HIT 10K so it's time for a question party I guess

Question meme! You ask me a question, I answer and ask you a question, the train continues. :U Yukio on Ruby is my only character at the moment, though I'll take questions about past/future apps as well.

Also, I would prefer questions and not a relationship meme because I'm super duper terrible at essaying at people. \:D/ Which isn't to say I won't talk about relationships, just that I need a more specific question than a general "how is our relationship."

TELL ME ABOUT YUKIO'S THOUGHTS ON TEAM AND FRAGMENTATION. I mean specifically Ruby and how we are both very together and very fractured and stuff :|aaa

Gosh Ruby. '-' On the one hand, Yukio LOVE LOVE LOVES!! Ruby. It's probably the first time in his life he's had anything resembling a social group consisting of his peers, given that he was a nervous as a kid and an over-achieving genius as a teenager. He was close to Rin, of course, but that came with stipulations during his early life (don't tell him about exorcists) and then massive complications once Rin finally DID find out. Shiemi might have been a friend, but he also didn't see her that much due to her staying at the shop until Rin recruited her. And Shura is ... not ... a friend. Added to the fact that he's a teacher who can't even associate with Exorcists his own age properly ... yeah Yukio fails pretty hard at normal social dynamics.

And then!! He's put on a team of teenage boys (+ Celty) and they stick together and talk and. +_+!! He wavers on whether he sees Ruby as friends or family, but the important thing either way is that they are CLOSE and they HAVE TO BE CLOSE and oh gosh he finally has a group of people he can talk to. This means that Ruby, the team is something that is super important to him. ... it also means that he kind of falls into the classic geek fallacies about how social groups should work. If one person leaves, he can't quite consider that they might be better off elsewhere because then the social dynamic of Ruby ruined foreverrrr. He's got an unrealistic image of what a group of friends might look like, which is only reinforced by his lack of memories to the contrary. Eventually he might remember enough about Rin's group of friends to figure out that fighting is normal, but right now he's still very +_+!! about Ruby staying together. It's why he struggled so hard when Luke left -- he thought that meant the end of Ruby as he knew it, something he desperately didn't want.

Right now, he's .. sssort of adjusting? Mostly he's too unhappy about Rin getting booked to care quite so much about how Ruby is doing. Also he's figuring out that he both can and can't handle Wrath, which is ... difficult too ... Also he has surprisingly not bonded a whole lot with Mika just yet, partially because he still doesn't know what to feel about Celty being gone. So his obsession with team is weakening somewhat, and I'm not sure where it's taking him right now.

So how did Moekuo do with possibly using his powers for good during the plot event?

AWKWARDLY . . . mostly awkwardly because he felt awkward about it and hung out with Kaworu a lot so I assume there was some teasing and AWKWARDTURTLING about it. He still did it but there was probably some like >:( well yukio said it was helpful and maybe an obligatory WELL PEOPLE SHOULD DIE ANYWAY tossed in just for good measure. He was probably pretty relieved when he could use them for someone he knew (Wrath) and just be like la la la that is ok because he is a teammate. But Doing Good is really . . . confusing . . . for him lol.

..... gosh I. I both love and hate the speculation that Yukio might be developing demonic powers, since that's the topic at hand due to the chapter 30 spoilers. Because I definitely want to RP Yukio getting the blue flames in Aather at some point, and to be vindicated in playing with his dormant powers but ... I also super hated the anime's take on it. Annnnnd it's kind of cliche in a series where the author has been so damn good about avoiding the obvious plot twists. But there's heavy foreshadowing for it? And ... sob idek. Regardless of anything, I do super want to run a corruption heart with him and get a temporary awakening of his powers.

HOW IS YUKIO :( or rather, what is keeping him afloat right now?

CASSIE IS 8( Well Cassie and the clinic. Ruby is sometimes good for him too, and sometimes it just ends up as another stressor in his life. He's focusing very hard on his work and Cassie right now, since everything else is just. painful to deal with. The plot threads with him fighting shadow!bro and then choosing to kill himself over Rin kiiiind of helped him make peace with his brother leaving, but the wound is still very fresh. Probably by the time he's really okay with Rin being booked, Box'll reapp him so. HILARITY for Yukio. :Da

So what does Cassie think of her boyfriend-thing?

Sheeeee thinks he's super sweet and kind and has his head on straight. What she's looking for is just... a "normal" relationship (even if she doesn't have a strong concept of what that is. Dates? A date! Not... hiding when you're involved with someone maybe?? Being slow??? DEFINITELY KISSING SHOULD BE INVOLVED...) and also she just... likes being around him. He doesn't talk down to her, or treat her very carefully. She likes when she catches him saying things that in another context would be questionable, because he's so honest and earnest. He's not entirely a huge mystery to her in terms of intent and motivation, but he can be surprising, so she appreciates that. But mostly it's how much she doesn't feel dumb or like she'll be chided by him.

This memory she just took will alter things slightly! Just because a new social construct has been introduced from her perspective, so she'll probably end up being more self-aware/self-conscious/fussed about certain things. She hasn't really dissected the memory, except she knows she felt icky for an intangible reason. 8'Da

HOW BADASS AM I YUKI-CHAN

SO BADASS +_+ He was SO MAD at mathdragon towards the end, but Shiemi was so awesome that he focused on that instead and everything was kind of okay. He is so damn proud that she out-badassed a dragon and severely disappointed in Perscitia for being (in his opinion) selfish. It ... kind of changed his perception of her? I'm not sure, honestly. He knows she was kind of passive back home, but he also remembers her being involved in exorcism work, so it's also not a surprise?? idk. Either way, she is firmly cemented as being pretty damn awesome in his head.

Why does Wrath hate Nii so much? I know there's a heart game involved but idk the details.

How feel about Celty's disappearance?

sob celty!! He didn't make a huge fuss in character because he couldn't show it in front of Mika and it's awkward discussing that kind of thing in front of your girlfriend, so it didn't really come up ... but he's still worried about her and wishes the book hadn't taken her :( Partly because he still thinks that he grows up to be Shinra and that is TERRIBLE. He hasn't really seen any conflicting evidence thus far and now Celty can't correct him soooo. It will probably be a long time until he figures it out finally. And I'll probably be mean and use Shinra as an age-up sometime. :Da

How's Tsuyukasa settling in?

Tsuyukusa is settling in fine! He's already gotten himself a quest to raise a tree in the new area from a branch that was broken off in the old one, so he's got that to keep him... idk, anchored. He WENT OUT AT DAWN like the complete winner that he is, and four other members of his team CAME OUT AFTER HIM and also got mauled. And he came within an inch of death. And they revived him from his state of near-death not-a-pokémon birddeer. So now he's all cleaned up and okay and everyone else is covered in snakebites and shit BECAUSE OF HIM and he feels AWFUL AND USELESS and is not pulling that shit again any time soon. Buuuuuut, the whole exercise was really useful in getting him to feel bound to his team, and he's super dere for Sakura and Yayoi now and begrudgingly dere for everyone else and yeah. Settling in very well.

When did Yukio and Cassie start dating?

Hmmm . . . thoughts on Nii and trust?

sob, it's complicated! Yukio started off not trusting Nii at all, considering the warnings he got from his teammates and the poking around Nii did in Konatsu's heart. And he continued to be paranoid up until ... the sex ed lesson, I think? Basically, that was the point where Yukio's perception of Nii went from "a real threat that's likely to be dangerous at any given time" to "a partial threat that might strike only if conditions are right." And from there, Nii just continued to not abuse Yukio's trust at times when he kind of expected it, like when testing Yukio's blood. Coupled with the fact that Nii's exhausted himself a couple times in front of Yukio, for Yukio's benefit ... he's honestly started to trust Nii quite a bit by now. :x He's kind of been defending Nii to Wrath, in fact, which is an exercise in futility.

So is all this trust going to turn out to be a bad decision dinosaur ride, or is this a genuine relationship for Nii?
